Karl Singporewala RWA RIBA is a chartered architect and artist whose work explores the themes of architecture, heritage, memory and contemporary material cultures. He is director of Karl Singporewala + the design bureau (KSdb) with current projects in London, Brighton, Bristol and Manchester. In 2025 he was appointed a Fellow of SOAS University of London for his work into identity formation within the arts and culture sector. He is also an elected academician at the Royal West of England Academy of Art (RWA). Singporewala currently presides at a number of strategic arts and culture organisations throughout the UK, including the RWA Academicians Council and Exhibitions Advisory Committee in Bristol; being an active member in Creative Crawley’s arts renaissance in West Sussex; helping commission contemporary Zoroastrian art and media for the Shapoorji Pallonji Institute of Zoroastrian Studies at SOAS, as well as being a Trustee for Theatre Centre, which commissions new theatre writing nationally for young people. Karl’s architectural drawings and sculptural maquettes are held in both public and private collections, including the RWA collection, the SOAS Public Collection, and the Princess Hamilton Collection, Bermuda. His artwork has been exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, V&A digital futures, The New York Institute of Technology, India Art Fair, and since 2011 at the RWA. His current body of artwork linked to South Asian diaspora is exclusively represented by Runjeet Singh Gallery.
