Hedy Parry-Davies

Hedy Parry-Davies is an artist and architect living and working in London. Since 2020 she has been practicing solely as an artist, working in her garden studio in Dalston. Her artwork is mainly concerned with three-dimensional expressions of the urban environment and its liminal spaces. Hedy’s artistic output is often inspired by her architectural practice. Heightened awareness of building’s forms, patterns and textures led to the creation of three-dimensional tessellations she refers to as ‘Architexture’.

Her passion is the medium of paper which she structures, folds, layers and tessellates, incorporating her own photographs, drawings, maps and found objects.

Hedy’s work has been exhibited in London and elsewhere in the UK, and in European galleries. Hedy is a member of the not-for-profit art organisation ArtCan. She has organised and curated art events in her locality of Dalston, Hackney to showcase the strong tradition of art in East London. She is currently co-curating the E8 Art & Craft Trail - an open studio biannual event in Dalston.
